Bubble and Squeak

This is my variation on a classic dish.

For those that can’t remember how to make this I’ll list the steps but the amounts is up to you and how much you wish to make.


  • Mashed Potato
  • Cabbage
  • Carrot
  • Ham or other meat


  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Melt some oil, or low fat spread in a large fry pan or wok.
  3. Add mixture and heat turning occasionally until you have some nice golden brown areas within the mix. If like me you have no teeth don’t cook for too long.
  4. Serve, and I add a small tin or share with someone else of spaghetti which helps to swallow the bubble and squeak.
